LOVED reading DaGoose trip reports and found several things that I want to make sure we do. What and where is Milo Pinders? I think this is the first time I have heard it mentioned. Caught my attention, 2 of my favorire things, jewelry and pineapple!!

This is Milo. He has a fruit stand on Front street on Guana Cay. Stop and see him! He also sells hand made jewelry.

He also sells the most wonderful little handmade "figures", like surfers and boaters, out of coconut shells, and other natural "ingredients. Wonderful little things.
We have also enjoyed the conch salad, painstakingly made by his brother, Edmund, I believe.
And...great lobster, which we have bought from him on several occasions.
If he happens to have the cherry tomatoes for sale when you're by there, you have to buy some! They are the sweetest, best I have ever eaten.
Lots of handmade jewelry too.

Milo is a living legend of Guana Cay.He is a great source of knowledge and friendship, absolutely someone you should meet while there. He hooked us up with fresh grouper and a great recipe for it last trip.We have many of his coconut people hanging in the house too.Not the easiest things to transport home but worth it.His jewelry is very nice also.If you need limes for your beverages he's the man!

We bought all of Milo's coconut people last year when we were there and they hang proudly in our house - They were VERY hard to get home in one piece, but are a true piece of Guana. The thing that makes me chuckle the most is that two of the little people are GOLFERS!!!! I'm sure Milo was glad to get rid of them! He is really fun to talk to. He also sells tee shirts that say "its better in the bahamas" on the front and "but its gooder in Guana" on the back. Love it!
