Hey, you Abaco lovers from Georgia! I have noticed quite a few people lately who are from Georgia. If Florida and Carolina can have a Board meeting, why can't Georgia have one too? If anyone is interested or has any ideas, please let me know. Of course, as is always the case, everyone is invited to participate.

Note: Since there is a possibility of another CFBM (Central Florida Board Meeting) in October, 2006, it may be 2007 before this could be a possibility. However, it does take some time and planning to bring it all together!

I don't know if you have seen abacoparrott's post about the CBM in Lake Lure, NC, but that is an example of a Board meeting. People from all around who frequent Abaco or are planning to go to Abaco get together in one place which usually involves eating, drinking, entertainment and, according to abacoparrott, lying!! Generally, just having a good time!

My husband and I have been to many Board meetings and they have always been a blast!!!

Well, it's looks like we have some interest going here! Any of you Georgia Board members have any suggestions as to where and when? As I said previously, it would have to be some time in 2007 especially when you are planning something in the Metro Atlanta area!

Count us in! We are in Acworth also. The possibilities are endless. Jerry's idea about the Red Top Mountain Lodge may be a good one depending on time of year and number of people. Skippy, you would be within 20 minutes or so of The Varsity JR (north end of town)! AbocoPeach / Jerry, give us a call sometime and we'll get together. We are always on the lake. We have a couple cabins at Glade Marina and maintain a continuous "Allatoona Board Meeting". See you soon.

The Skippys have had a taste of the "real thing Varsity" a couple of years ago when they came up for a weekend of Nascar fun in the sun with us! Will definitely give you guys a call as we are 5 minutes from Glade Marina!

I've been looking for a while! I live in woodstock (near alpharetta). I am from Ft. Laduerdale and got Kalik all the time down there. Since I moved up here (job relocation), I have not been able to find Kalik anywhere. Tried Harries Farmers Market...nutin..... local grocery stores, publix..walmart, target...nothing.

Where is the KALIK??

Stone Mountain Park is a good place. Lots of large open air pavilions, grills, tables, etc.
