dear sidney, i saw your grandfather on tuesday before i left at 4 pm. he was housing a family of 6 to ride the storm out. he was in great spirits, and of course said that "this was as good of a place to die as any!" the husband/father was hurricane proofing his house, and i did take what food i had to him with water & stuff. he is a stubborn old bird, & and though i don't know for sure, i feel in my heart he is ok. and by the way he looked great!!!! dianna

Hello there, Bill Hertz has been a wonderful friend to my family for many many years in TC and we too are looking for some info on his whereabouts and well being...can't believe he would stay through another one! Please let me know or post if you hear anything and i will do the same.

I ran into Bill at Hummingbird restaurant this past week at lunch--he is there quite regularly, so you might try reaching through them on Mon---242-367-2992. Sorry I don't remember which day--they are all running together.
