We stayed on Eastern Shores in Marsh Harbor last spring (liked it, but too removed without a boat) Now thinking of TC for end of June -07. Looking for quiet beachfront villa (1-2 BR) with some privacy. Any suggestions? Also, anyone know if there will be sea breezes there or very hot then??
Much obliged for any info!

We loved June in the Bahamas. We had gone the first week of June. Nice and warm still able to sit on the beach. Couple of biting flies that you needed repellent but doable. Water nice and warm. I recommend June. We also have stayed in Mariners Cove which is nice as it is on the marina. The Beach Villas are real nice also. Check side bar. If you need more info, PM me and I will give you some more details. We are actually going to do our first week in MH (first time) and the balance in TC. We too, love TC. The Ocean Villas have more privacy but are a more expensive but very very nice. Depends on your budget. They have their own rental office. Maybe you can find them on the sidebar or online. I am sure someone on the Board might have the # to reach them. They have washer and dryers in the units also plus their own private pool on beach side. Good luck.

I second BahamaAngie about June in Abaco. The days are warm and sunny, and the nights are not too hot( like in August). Nice breezes on the water keep things really pleasant.

The Treasure Cay Property Owners Association has Villa listings on their website.

The only negative side of late June would be mosquitoes. Need to bring a safe repellent so that you can sit out. Of course, we are always too tired from the day to sit out but it is a great time of the year. We used Avon's repellent seemed to work well against the flies and mosquitoes but you will learn of a lot of others on this Board.

Check out the yellow sidebar under "Lodging/Places to Stay" for Treasure Cay rentals. These are sponsors who make this message board possible.

Never been bitten my a mosquito in TC in past 9 yrs! Most floridians come over with their boats in June due to calm and warm waters. Jelly fish can be somewhat of a problem when winds die down. Far less Tstorms than Fl mainland. No seeums prevolent at dawn and dusk when winds are light. Good time to boat and snorkle, in fact, a great time! Water is so warm you need to get out to cool off. There are remnents of fishing tournaments and the July 4th is well celebrated with fireworks. Population starts to die down mid to end of July. Gets pretty warm and humid by then.

Also great time of year is Sept and Oct.
