Bahamasair Situation!!!

Several flights did not fly today. No announcement of a "strike" but something is afoot with pilot's pay problem. I flew West Palm - Marsh yesterday with no problems other than huge amounts of luggage delayed - due to locals shopping and colliding with tourists coming in for the holidays. They cannot fly overloaded. Call to find out if you are planning on coming on out. Surely they will "fix" the situation asap. Marsh Harbour Airport in happy holiday chaos today.

Just a quick note, anybody traveling to MHH or back to Florida no matter which airline would be smart to call before heading to airport. Bahamasair saved our butt a couple of weeks ago as we had to connect with a flight in West Palm. We had been booked on Continental for a 12:30pm departure to PBI, but they changed that to a departure 2 1/2 hours later which would have caused us to miss our flight. Bahamasair makes good with any problems they might incur. I would not hesitate to fly them, they are very safe , have a great record, but they are on Bahama time every once in a while. Just pick up the phone before you fly.
