Has anyone ever used this guide? What is he like?

He is great. A real professional and loves to teach newcomers to the sport as well as work with the experts that go out with him. He also has a conch stand in Marsh Harbour that is the favourite of the locals. He cuts the conch in tiny, thin stripes like linguini. He is a great guy. You cannot loose with him or any of the other guides for that matter. Bahamians are so nice, they make your heart melt.

I would not use him.

I would use Town Williams (242)359-6013
or Danny Sawyer (242)477-5901.
These are the 2 best guides on the Island. I have used all 3.
Danny is a certified Orvis guide with Orvis fly tackle on board if you don't have.
Both are great and use very spring....

Mac daddy,

Just being "Orvis Certified" does not make them the best guide.

Further - if you have not fished with every guide how can you say your two choices are the best on the island?

None of the three have won the Bonefish compitetions, but Justin has - everyone looks for different things in a guide.

I believe most all Abaco guides are quite well versed, and will provide a good time.

R.

Sorry for trash talk tonight, but even moderators like to go out and have a little fun on Friday night. Then there a some who like to stir up trouble on Firday night. Those troublesome messages are now deleted. Rest assured, BahamaBabe, all the guides are great, or they would not be in business for long.

Just so that I can sleep in peace tonight, this thread will be closed until the morning.

Dear Bahama Babe,

Terrance is a great guide. (especially for beginners) The best thing to do is call him.....242-367-2209
or ****242 375-8550. ***** By the way, Town Williams is our brother in law and Terrance taught him everything he knows.

I gotta go with R on this one. Fished Abaco for years. I have a favorite, but if he is not available, I know others. These guides grew up on these waters, and frankly can outcast most "professionals" I know here in the states. You can learn the basics of bonefishing in a day, but it takes a lifetime to perfect. Pick their brains, respect their judgement and you benefit greatly.
