Last Minute Trip July 4th - 8th

Hello:

My husband and I would like to plan a last minute trip from Florida to the Abacos over 4th of July weekend. Is it too late to book something? Would airfare be outrageously expensive? How about a place to stay, anybody have any recommendations or do you think it will be sold out?

That is the busiest week of the year in the Abaco's. You could get lucky.
Call all the airlines first, to see if there's even availability. The smaller planes, Yellow Air, Vintage, Twin Air, etc. normally don't have much change in fare, it's just availability this late that will be tough to find.

Have you narrowed down what Cay you are staying on? There's lots of links here to help you research a place to stay.

I'd start calling right away. Good luck!

Thanks South Pause! That's funny - we bought a boat last year, and it's name is "SouthPaw"....and no, we're not lefties....

I've got a couple of responses already for rooms, havent' checked the airlines yet. But thanks for the post!! We haven't picked a Cay yet, but GTC sounded good and the pics are awesome there.....
