My wife and I are safely in Hope Town! This is our 3rd trip and 4th week spent on Elbow Cay. We drove from Greenville, SC to Daytona Beach, FL on Friday and then from Daytona to West Palm on Saturday morning. We flew Bahamas Air to Marsh Harbor (only took 45 minutes). We used the new ferry service and we came away very impressed. We took in the 11:00 A.M. church service at the methodist church and heard Vernon preach (he married us last June). Like many others around the Abaco area, we've experienced a great deal of rain here Saturday and today. The forecast calls for improving conditions throughout the week. Obviously, with the regatta this week, there is a large crowd present...but only large in Hope Town terms. We still walked the beach in front of the methodist church and passed by only two other visitors. Things are, as always, extremely beautiful and peaceful.
