I am trying to book flight for wife and kids. What type of aircraft does continental use jets or prop jets? Any suggestions on flights is appreciated. Thanks

We are going out of Palm Beach Saturday on Continental. It's a Beech 1900 prop - 19 seater.

Continental partners with Gulfstream which usually is a 19 passenger plane. Not a jet at all, regular propeller plane. Part of the trip that I don't like. Some of the planes have been one seat on each side of the plane. Last one we flew had one seat on left side of plane, and 2 seats on right side with a full back seat (like a bus). Thank God, it is less than an hour flight. Bahama Air has a 51 passenger flight also not a jet but larger and was a better flight. But a lot of controversy about Bahama Air. Whatever you choose, good luck and have a great time.

Thanks for the reply, what is the BA controversy? What about vintage air out of Melb. on the web sight it looks like older King Air planes but that may be more appealing than continentals planes any input? Thanks again.

Some like Bahama Air and some have had complaints like with any other airlines. we found them fine. There was a delay on the return flight but there has almost always been with Continental also.

We've flown Vintage out of Melbourne the last two trips to MH. We had no problems, in fact, it was very comfortable. I recommend the morning flights going and returning because of Florida weather.

I might suggest making sure you bring only 1 suitcase per person. Often times the flight is booked and extra baggage gets left behind for other flights. Not only does this prove to be an inconvenience but on one occasion the bag was never found and another time the bag did not arrive until 5 days later. We have also had a cooler go missing and Continental stated they are not responsible for coolers...

Vintage is the most reliable of the bunch and far easier to deal with. Are you making another flight cnnection?? That makes a difference.
Both airlines use props. I was told Bahamas air was not the one to fly, Problems with being on schedule and connecting to other airlines.
Watch the weight and amount of baggage you have. Big surcharges!
