Anybody got a good recipe for rum punch? Something similar to what Brendal serves after his dive trips. Recommendation for rum type. Thanks,
Mark Winninger, been going to Abaco for 15 years, and I'm having a desire for good rum punch.

1 shot light Bacardi, 1 shot dark (I like Ron Matusalem), 1 shot coconut rum (the kind they sell out there and I can't find in the states), 1/2 shot apricot brandy, small can of pineapple juice, shake, pour over ice makes one heck of a drink for one cup. Closest thing I've come up to Miss Emily's. Very potent.
Here is the recipe that Tina and I came up with after our last visit over to the Abaco's....we spent many wknds trying to "perfect" it, and this was our final version:
W.A.R.P.
(Wicked Ass Rum Punch)
1 Cup Bacardi Light
1 Cup Bacardi Gold
1 Cup Malibu (Coconut Rum)
2 Cups Orange Juice
2 Cups Pineapple Juice
¼ Cup Rosie’s Lime Juice
¼ Cup Grenadine

Floridaskater and Dano,
I'm drooling. My wife says I have to wait until the weekend. She thinks after a couple of these I will be useless. Like I'm not that way anyway. A good rum punch let's me close my eyes and I'm in Abaco. Thank you,

we call this drink a tzatzke special
1.5 oz. rum or more(coconut rum)
.5oz grenadine
pineapple-mango juice or orange juice or pineapple juice.
mix and serve over crushed ice. yum!
try crystal lite ruby red grapefruit with coconut rum.

Found this recipe many years ago while in the Abacos "researching stuff." It is for Goombay Smash, and the operative word is the second one. Delicious, dangerous (40% alcohol), easily made up in batches ahead of time, and the closest thing I could find to the famous Bluff House drink of the same name. Here goes: 1.5 oz amber rum, .5 oz coconut rum, 3 oz. pineapple juice, couple dashes lemon juice, couple dashes grenadine. Basically a 3/1/6 mix. Yum.
