I'm trying to remember, did you stay at the north end of Elbow? How did you like it up there? Is that Junkanoo ice cream in that cup in the pic outside of Vernon's?

Posting these photos is driving me CRAZY! I'll keep at it though.
Yes, Cathy, that IS Junkanoo ice cream in the photo. That's my son George with a boy he met, whose mother works at Munchie's and is also the "braid lady". George loves the Junkanoo but I preferred the coconut.
We loved the North End...we felt like we were in our own world out there! But we also loved going into town, and we went every day. Sometimes we wondered if we should have stayed in town, but then we would have missed the fun golf cart rides, and that feeling of being "at the ends of the earth". We loved walking down the sandy path late in the day and going down to the beach; putting on our masks and floating around looking at fish, finding shells, and just being together in the quietness, with only the sounds of the ocean around us. Once or twice we met up with some of the other people staying in the area, and that was nice too. I do think we'd stay there again...if we ever got to go again!

The golf cart rides are a good part of the fun. We always go to town nearly every day too for rum raisin or coconut ice cream and Vernon's fresh bread.
